Bus Air Springs
aktaş körük hakkımızda

It arisen due to the need for improving the driving comfort by absorbing the oscillations, vibrations and sudden shocks caused by the structure of the roads in the busses 50 years ago and today air springs are used almost in all busses in Europe. We produce air springs for meeting the more comfortable driving and more optimum loading in vehicles.

The air spring type generally preferred in the buses and light commercial vehicles is roll air springs. Roll air springs are the ones having very superior springiness sensitivity. Generally they provide extremely comfortable suspension by reaching high strokes without increasing the operation diameters because of their long product lengths. The plates and pistons produced with suitable diameter and tapers can be easily mounted and dismounted and mounted in both directions symmetrically. However for the types produced conically, the direction of the conical part with narrow diameter should be mounted to the piston (axel – bottom), the direction with wide diameter to the plate (chassis – top).

There are various operation pressure ranges, connection heights, operation gaps, operation frequencies, and lifting powers for different areas of usage.

The air springs in busses provide both the high driving comfort for the passengers and keeping the height of the vehicle at the same and requested level during travelling. In addition to this, air springs enable that the bus makes tilting and lowering for providing easiness when the passengers getting on and off. It is generally required to mount two air springs to the front axles and four air suspension bellows to the rear axles in the vehicles.
